Mai Ventures ("we," "our," or "us") operates the PriceHop AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Product Images
When you use the photo lookup feature, you may take or select photos of products. These images are sent to our AI service for product identification, processed to find pricing information, not permanently stored on our servers, and not linked to your identity.
1.2 Device Identifiers
We collect a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token so we can send a push notification when your product lookup completes. This token is not used for tracking or advertising.
1.3 Purchase Information
When you purchase Hop Credits, transactions are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive anonymous purchase confirmation and do not have access to your payment details.
1.4 Local Data
Search history, currency preferences, app settings, and cached product images are stored locally on your device unless app functionality explicitly syncs them through Apple services.
2. How We Use Information
- Identify products from photos or descriptions you provide
- Find and compare prices across different countries
- Deliver push notifications for completed lookups
- Process in-app purchases and manage Hop Credits
- Sync credits across your devices via iCloud where supported
3. Third-Party Services
- Firebase (Google): Cloud functions for product lookup and push notifications.
- RevenueCat: In-app purchase management.
- Apple Services: iCloud, StoreKit, and App Store purchase processing.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
- Your name, email, or contact information unless you contact support
- Precise location data
- Browsing history outside the App
- Advertising identifiers for ad tracking
5. Data Security and Retention
Network communications use HTTPS. Product images are processed for lookup and are not intended to be permanently stored. FCM tokens are retained while you use notifications. Local app data remains until you delete the App or clear your history.
6. Your Choices
- Delete search history from within the App
- Disable notifications in iOS Settings
- Uninstall the App to remove local data
- Contact us with any privacy questions
7. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post any changes on this page with a revised effective date.
